Title of book:  The Butterfly Lion Author:  Michael Morpurgo Genre:  A Children's Book Characters:  Bertie,Millie, The white prince. Setting:  Timbavati in Africa, England, and France. Summary:   The book is about Bertie. Jack  is a boy that ran away from boarding school and met a lady who tells him her story. She tells him about Bertie, who was her husband. She tells him about Bertie who lived in Africa and found a white lion and kept him as his pet. they didn't name they lion , because they didn't want to and thought it was wrong to do so. He was out walking one day when he saw a girl that had her kite stuck up in a tree. Bertie helped her get it down and they became friends. They met every Sunday until Bertie had to go off to college. He did not like it there , because of all the bells that sounded all day. Worse still he couldn't see Millie. At the start of World War 2, Millie knew that Bertie had to go. Our Visit To Sinai Academy

Last week we visited the Sinai Academy in Bloubergrant.It was a very nice experience to learn about the language and the religion. While we were there we learned about the shabbat,the Mount Sinai,the challah bread,the Torah,and the Rabbi.We wore yamakas. We listened to some grade 4s,5s,and 6s sing songs to us about their religion and we watched some videos about shabbat. There was a smaller/pre-primary school and there was a senior primary that was 2 doors down from the pre-primary school .We put coins into a tub that will go to someone that is less fortunate the we are. We went inside the shul for a bit a read the Jewish bible.In the background there where babies singing in Hebrew.The Rabbi blew a rams horn to show us what it sounded like.They showed us the Torahs that are kept inside the Ark that is covered with a special curtain. It was amazing to see and learn about their religion and I would love to go back to the Sinai Academy

The grade 4 camp

Last week we were on camp.We went to Simonsberg Christian centre In the morning we got on the bus and we went to Giraffe house. At Giraffe House they did a reptile show for us and we saw snakes such as pythons and so on. We also saw zebra,llama,ostrich,giraffe,and we fed the goats. We had ice-cream there. When we got to the camp we unpacked our bags and went to our dorms. When we were done in our dorms,Mrs Coetzee went on a walk around with us and explained the rules of the camp.A bit later we started building our forts in the forest.That night we went on a night hike and we looked up at the stars.I saw a shooting star and some satellites moving across the sky. the next day we were split up into groups to do the activities.The activities were the obstacle course,river rafting,the plank area, and the hula-hooping. later in the evening, we  had supper. After supper we went to sit by the bonfire for a bit.We sang some songs and roasted marshmallows.When we were done at the bonf
